Why We Are Here
The Community Action Programme (CAP) is a unique concept for empowering disadvantaged communities and families. Our organisation understands that poverty and absence of real opportunities are a major contributing factor towards disfranchised people.The UK government is desperate for a solution to combat crime and poverty, specifically violent crime, which can be attributed to alcohol, drug misuse and other social problems. CAP has come up with a dynamic scheme that uses 5 key drivers to promote our message that “community action is everybody's business”. We believe that education and prevention is better than cure.
Our Objectives
To empower communities to have a stake-hold in society
.To reduce the negative effects and find solutions for poverty in the UK
To address and target child poverty as a priority
To divert and prevent people from engaging in criminal activities
To reduce the effect and harm that crime causes to the public
To have an inclusive partnership approach to harm reduction and prevention
To educate the public to crime prevention measures.
To gain support from the media, personalities and celebrities to help get our message across, that “community action is everybody’s business”.
